Information we collect

Account information: email address, account identifier, and the name you provide or allow Apple or Google sign-in to return. Climbing and fitness information: sessions, timestamps, grades, attempts, sends, wall type, crux hold type, session purpose, and derived level, workload, difficulty, and density estimates. App activity and diagnostics: when first-party analytics are enabled, selected actions such as starting or ending a session, logging or editing a boulder, screen views, tap counts, sync timing, queue depth, and limited error codes. Events include a random app-installation identifier, app version, build, platform, and relevant session or climb identifiers. Purchase information: if paid access is offered and used, product and store transaction identifiers, purchase and verification timestamps, platform, and entitlement status. ClimbIQ never receives complete payment-card details. Support information: information you choose to include in support or deletion requests. ClimbIQ does not request precise location, contacts, photos, videos, microphone, camera, or advertising identifiers and has no advertising SDKs.

Beta applications

When you apply for the private beta, ClimbIQ collects your email address and selected phone platform. We use this information only to assess and contact applicants about private testing. We keep it only as long as needed for recruitment and validation, or until you ask us to delete it.

How we use information

We use information for account creation and security, offline-safe sync, climbing history and estimates, purchase and access verification, diagnostics and product improvement, and support, privacy, and deletion requests. Personal data is not sold and is not used for third-party advertising. First-party analytics can be disabled in Settings. Disabling clears queued events and stops new events, but does not delete events already uploaded.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication, database, and backend services. Apple and Google process chosen sign-in and store purchases. Framer hosts the public website. Vercel may host the private operations site. Providers process data under their terms or on our behalf. Data may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect users or the service, or during a safeguarded business transfer.

Device storage, security, and international processing

An on-device database can hold account ID, pending or cached sessions and climbs, sync operations, and queued analytics. We use transport encryption and reasonable safeguards, but no system is absolutely secure. Providers may process information in other countries subject to applicable safeguards.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and climbing information while the account is active. You can delete your account in ClimbIQ Settings or at the account-deletion page. Successful deletion removes active app-owned auth, profile, climbing, derived metrics, analytics, access, and entitlement records and clears account-linked sessions, climbs, sync operations, cached history, and queued events from that device. Limited security, fraud, legal, tax, or accounting records may be retained. De-identified audit records and temporary provider backups may remain for a limited period. Apple and Google keep their own records under their policies.

User choices and rights

You can disable analytics or delete your account. Depending on your location, your rights may include access, correction, export, restriction, objection, deletion, and complaint to a data-protection authority. Send requests to the privacy contact below; ownership may need verification.

Children

ClimbIQ is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent in their country. Contact the privacy address below about unauthorized child data.
